About Me

Hi, I'm Giselda

I'm the person behind Coffee Table Diary — a place where I share my honest journey of creating a home I love in Helsinki, Finland. No interior design degree, no unlimited budget, just a lot of curiosity and an unreasonable number of paint samples scattered across my apartment.

This blog started in 2015 as a way to document my apartment renovation. What began as notes-to-self about paint colors and IKEA hack measurements turned into something bigger — a community of people who believe that beautiful homes don't need to cost a fortune.

I live in a relatively small apartment in Töölö with my husband, our daughter, and too many houseplants. My design philosophy is rooted in Scandinavian simplicity — clean lines, natural materials, and spaces that actually work for real life with all its mess and chaos.
